Joplin is a free, open-source note-taking and task app for PCs capable of handling large amounts of organized notes on laptops. Notes can be searched and copied, tagged, and modified directly from the apps or in your text editor. Markdown-formatted notes
Notes can be synced with a variety of cloud services, including Nextcloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, and WebDAV, as well as the file system (e.g., a network directory). Notes, notebooks, tags, and other metadata are saved in plain text files that can be easily scanned, backed up, and transferred when you sync them.
You can also import notes from Evernote via enex files into the Joplin app, including formatted content (which is converted to Markdown), resources (images, attachments, and so on), and full metadata (geolocation, time updated, creation time, and so on…). Importing simple Markdown files is also possible.

Import from Evernote
Joplin is intended to be an alternative to Evernote, allowing complete Evernote notebooks and notes, tags, resources (attached files), and note metadata (such as author, geolocation, and so on) to be imported via ENEX files. The only two things that might differ slightly in terms of data are:
Identification Data – Evernote images, particularly scanned (or photo) documents, contain identification data. Evernote was able to identify the text in the document.
When the note is imported into Joplin, this data is not preserved. However, because the actual image is still available, it should be possible to recreate this identification data if it becomes supported in the search tool or other parts of Joplin. Download Joplin Note-Taking.
Evernote text is stored in HTML and converted to Markdown during the import process, so color, font sizes, and faces are all customizable. This is a lossless conversion for notes that are mostly plain text or base format (bold, italic, bullet points, links, etc.), and the note should look very similar once rendered to HTML. Imported tables are also converted to Markdown.
Some formatting data, particularly colors, font sizes, and font faces, may be lost for very complex notes. Regardless of the format, the text is always completely imported. If you need to keep this extra information, Joplin also supports the import of ENEX files in HTML format.
Before you can import Evernote data, you must first export your Evernote notebooks to ENEX files. Then take the following steps:
Select your file in the desktop app by going to File > Import > ENEX. The exported notes will be saved in a new notebook. It can be moved to a different notebook if necessary, or the notebook can be renamed, etc.
Type import /path/to/file.enex in the terminal application’s command line mode. This will import the notes into a new notebook with the same name as the file.
