Kaspersky Rescue Disk is a free program for removing malware that prevents operating systems from booting up on computers. When a computer is infected, you must boot from a Kaspersky Rescue Disk in order to scan and remove threats without endangering other computers or files.
Burning this ISO image to a CD, putting it in the infected system’s CD-ROM drive, going into the BIOS, setting the computer to boot from the CD, and then restarting the computer are the steps required to execute it.
This lists the Gentoo options, as well as some of the kernel options, but it has proven to be extremely useful for users. All options that begin with ‘Does’ have the inverse of ‘No,’ and this does the inverse. ‘doscsi’, for example, enables SCSI support on the first ramdisk boot, whereas ‘noscsi’ disables it.

Installation method
- To begin installing Kaspersky Rescue Disk, first, obtain the ISO image file from the link provided at the end of this explanation. The file will be downloaded in the form of a krd.iso file.
- At this point, you have the option of creating a bootable disk or a bootable USB device. The former will suffice, but the latter is a little more difficult.

✔ On the next screen, you can select whether you want the graphic or text version. That is entirely up to you, but Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Graphics mode is far more user-friendly, as you can point and click on menus just like you would in a regular desktop application. So, when you see this option, press Enter.
✔ After a few code screens, the antivirus will automatically launch, allowing you to scan disk boot sectors, hidden startup files, the entire hard drive, or any specific file/folder. By clicking the Accept button, you agree to the License Agreement and Privacy Policy.
✔ You can erase a portion of the hard drive rather than the entire drive. This is very useful if you already know what you want to scan so you don’t have to waste time scanning your entire drive for malicious files.
✔ You can change the scope of the scanner from the Change Parameters link, so that only certain folders are scanned, only boot sectors are scanned for viruses, and so on.
✔ Inside the Kaspersky Rescue Disk, there is a regular desktop where you can edit the registry. And you can browse the Internet and even explore the operating system as if you were logged into a user account, which is very useful if malware prevents you from booting into the system.
✅ The only thing I don’t like about Kaspersky Rescue Disk is that it may take some time to download because the ISO image is quite large.
